Lavender sachets

I finally did! I started re-doing my room. I know, a mounth later than i was supposed, but you know how it's said, better later than never. Last week I managed to paint the walls white. I have to say it was a though work because the wall surface was not uniform at all. I had to paint it 3 times to get a satisfactory white.. I don't have pictures right now, and I want to install the plinth before I'll show you the room..But this will have to wait untill I'll be able to get another week off.

Meanwhile I want to show you the things I am working on right now... Sachets with lavender.. I bought dried lavender flowers and I'm using my immagination to create beautiful and romantic scented sachets so here you are the first pattern.

I used red cotton, white cotton lace and white cotton embroidery for this one, all tied up with red lace

You have to know that the beautiful white cotton emboridery is actually cut out from an old vintage cotton lace and applied by hand on the sachets

Do you like them? You should feel the smell...
Va plac? Sa simtiti cat sunt de parfumati....

Hugs, Cristina

  1. Beautiful! I grow lavender and was just thinking about making some sachets. Your idea of stitching the lace piece on the bag is very clever!

  3. Good Morning Cristina, I love the smell of lavender and the little lavender bags you have made are lovely.
I love bright colours so it makes a nice change to see a brightly coloured lavender bag because normally they are white linen.
I noticed you mentioned that you had tried to grow lavender in flowerpots... lavender will grow in flowerpots as long as they have a lot of warmth and sunshine and not too much water.
Cristina, I have enjoyed my visit and I have become a new follower. I look forward to reading many more of your posts.
I would like to invite you to visit me at Ivy, Phyllis and Me! when you have the time as you will be most welcome.
Best Wishes to you from England,
    Daphne

    1. Thanks! I had once a lavender flowerpot outside my window, to the south, with enough sun and warmth, but I noticed I had to wet it daily or she get dried. I missed two days from home and I found her dead...Anyway, I'm still trying.
